Hello,  we are part of troop 55801. We are working on our Silver Award and for our project we are creating a Community Event to raise awareness for an organization called This Old Horse.

Our Haunted Halloween Round-up is a Girl Scout created Open House based at This Old Horse. We will have lots of fun including a raffle basket drawing, a pool noodle horse race, crafts, a horse photo shoot, a fairer demonstration, trick or treating and lots more.
This event is to create awareness for This Old Horse. Their mission is to create a sanctuary for aged or unwanted horses who have served us well. They are a retirement refuge for horses who, alongside their human professionals, have worked hard for a living. As these horses age, time and effort take their toll, and they are no longer capable of full-time work. So This Old Horse takes in these old horses. And all you have to do is show up and have a great time. Hope you attend our Haunted Halloween Roundup!

Kiley Robertson earns her Gold
Kiley organized The inaugural Unified Prom at East Ridge High School- a prom that featured a more controlled environment for special needs students — less sensory overload, more low-key activities. She reached out to many parents of the Unified Club students to volunteer the night of the prom. The theme, UP, was inspired by the Disney movie UP. The girls got their hair and makeup done free courtesy of the Minnesota School of Cosmetology. Local photographer Kathleen Smith donated her time to take photos. Gigi's Cupcakes donated dessert.  Well done and congrats!

Troop 53799 Gives Harriet Tubman Center an Art Room for Silver Award
If you are looking for something to share with your troop for a little inspiration on the their silver award have them check out this video (click HERE) that our troop made showing the highlights of our journey this past summer. The girls transformed a space at the Harriet Tubman Center in Maplewood into this amazing Art room with 4 centers: Painting, Drawing, 3D Sculpture and Creative Movement. They fundraised just over $900 to buy supplies for the 4 spaces including easels, drawing desks, yoga mats and numerous art supplies. They received in kind donations from Home Depot, Hirshfields and Sherwinn Williams to pain the space in 3 fun colors! They will be hosting an open house for those staying in the shelter on October 27 to signify the opening of the newly renovated space.
